Kupittaa Park's wide lawns make it one of Turku's most important outdoor event venues. Large public events have been held here over the years, and in summer especially the area fills with music and gatherings. This site does not maintain its own event calendar; instead it points you to sources that carry the current programme.
Kupittaa Park has been the main venue of the New Music Festival since 2008. The festival brings several stages and a large audience to the park, so use of the area during the festival differs from normal.
Since 2009 the park has hosted the Botellón picnic, organised informally through social media without an official organiser. National events have also been held here: the 2012 evangelical festival drew around 12,500 visitors and Yle's summer event in 2025 around 48,500 visitors.
Even without major events Kupittaa Park is in constant use: the multi-sport court, artificial turf pitches, Finnish baseball fields, pétanque courts, basketball court, beach volleyball and fitness stairs shape everyday life. In summer equipment rental at the multi-sport court is free.
We do not publish our own event calendar because we cannot guarantee it stays up to date. Check the current season's programme on the City of Turku and Visit Turku sites as well as each festival's own pages.

It depends on the event. Some park events are free and others are ticketed. Always check prices on the organiser's own site.
